Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 April 2026
Summary
We collect the minimum we need to operate the Service: the domains you search for, the evidence you submit, and the basic profile info Google shares when you sign in. We don't sell data and we don't serve ads.
What we collect
- Search queries.Domains you search are stored so we can cache reports and show your own search history. If you aren't signed in, queries are not linked to an identity.
- Google account info. When you sign in with Google, we store your email, display name, and avatar URL, and a Google-issued account ID.
- Evidence uploads. If you submit a screenshot or note, we store them associated with your account and the target domain.
- Server logs. Cloudflare, our hosting provider, may retain short-lived request logs for operational and abuse-prevention purposes.
What we don't collect
- We don't use third-party analytics that track you across sites.
- We don't set tracking cookies - only a session cookie after you sign in.
- We don't sell or rent your data to anyone.
How we use it
- To authenticate you.
- To show you the reports and history tied to your account.
- To moderate community-submitted evidence before publishing.
- To detect and prevent abuse of the service (e.g. mass scraping).
Third parties
- Cloudflare - hosts the app (Workers) and our databases (D1, R2).
- Google - authenticates your sign-in via OAuth. Google receives only the fact that you signed in; we receive your email, name, and avatar.
- Public favicon providers (Google s2, DuckDuckGo) - we fetch the favicon for the domains you view.
Your rights
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@isitafraud.com. We respond within 30 days.
Data retention
Cached domain reports: up to 7 days, then refreshed. Evidence and account data: kept until you delete your account. Server logs: per Cloudflare's retention policy (typically a few days).
Changes
If we materially change this policy, we'll update the “last updated” date above. For signed-in users with significant changes, we'll also show a banner on your next visit.
