About
isitafraud.com runs deep background research on any website. We pull signals from dozens of specialized sources around the world - global threat-intelligence databases, social media and forum chatter, AI-powered pattern detection, and professional investigation tools - and cross-reference them into a single, clear verdict backed by the full evidence trail.
What goes into every report
No single feed decides a verdict. We fuse layers of signal from multiple, independent sources:
- Registration & infrastructure - WHOIS history, historical owners and nameserver moves, registrar reputation, TLD abuse statistics.
- Certificate & encryption - Full SSL chain validation, Certificate Transparency logs, issuer reputation.
- Global threat databases - Spamhaus, PhishTank, Google Safe Browsing, SURBL, and 50+ additional specialized feeds covering regions and abuse categories worldwide.
- Social media & web intelligence - Mentions across social platforms, forum threads, scam-tracking communities, and public paste dumps.
- AI deep research - Visual brand-impersonation detection, content-pattern classification, and linguistic risk signals.
- Professional investigation tools - Passive DNS, WHOIS-history aggregators, and OSINT tooling normally reserved for fraud analysts.
- Community evidence- Screenshots, notes, and timelines submitted by people who’ve been targeted.
How the verdict is produced
Every indicator is cross-referenced against the others. A brand-new domain isn’t automatically “fraud,” and a fifteen-year-old domain isn’t automatically “safe.” We look for how signals line up with known fraud patterns - and we show you the receipts so you can verify every claim.
You get one of four verdicts - Safe, Suspicious, Fraud, or Unknown- with a 0–100 confidence score and the full evidence trail.
Why we built it
Most people can’t tell a cloned login page from the real one. Our job is to do the deep research for you in seconds, and to show you every source.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your data.
- We don’t send marketing email.
- We don’t use third-party tracking cookies - only an auth session cookie when you sign in.
